3D Scanning and Reverse Engineering of Fabrications For Motorsport

We have 3D scanned and reverse engineered various fabrications for motorsport, including chassis, roll cages and suspension parts all using the Creaform Handyscan 700.

Some fabrications are 3D scanned only for reference, to help aid the design of new parts, as seen in the example.

Fabrications such as chassis and roll cages normally require full CAD models to enable the export of fabrication members to CNC pipe benders and laser cut machines, helping produce accurate and repeatable products. These models are produced using Geomagic Design X and Solidworks and delived to the customer in .STEP format or as a Solidworks weldment file with an editable 3D sketch, enabling modification if required.
